Position Details:
This is a remote position located in Atlanta, GA 30339, with a salary range of $126,000.00 - $139,000.00 per year.
Position Overview
The Software Developer is an Information Technology contributor responsible for:
- Working closely as an intricate part of a highly collaborative team to solve problems.
- Building and maintaining software for the Aveanna Healthcare suite of technologies and applications.
- Defining and creating solutions based on problem statements created during collaboration with product management professionals.
- Providing technical guidance necessary to maintain existing systems.
Essential Job Functions
- Work with product management professionals to understand problems to be solved, and define solutions to solve those problems.
- Create and support software applications and systems by investigating, designing, and implementing software using the Behavior Driven Development methodology.
- Contribute to the development and/or implementation of new technical standards and methods.
- Apply best practices as it relates to testing, documentation, code reviews, etc.
- Collaborate with fellow IT team members to triage issues and resolve service interruptions and other events that introduce risk to Aveanna Healthcare, as well as its patients and employees.
- Collaborate with fellow software developers to iteratively deliver solutions that benefit Aveanna Healthcare, as well as its patients and employees.
- Participate in improving software development lifecycle, technical operations, and technology innovation.
Requirements
- BA or BS degree (or equivalent experience).
- Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming methodologies.
- Familiarity with the Git distributed version control methodology.
- Familiarity working with hybrid on-premises/cloud implementations.
Preferences
- 8 years of software engineering experience.
- Healthcare experience.
- Familiarity with the AWS cloud computing platform.
